Barry,

sure it can be overcome...as long as people are not stuck in their role.
But organizational change always changes the power allocation in
organizations and therefore there are people who feel threatened by change
and who "fight for their lives"...what do we do with these people, those
who do not want to learn or will only learn long-range? The idea to "beat
the enemy with his own weapon" or to "fight fire with fire" seems not that
far-out as we talk about saving the organization...
