The grass fire is a good example of what I can say about noise being real
piece of information we must deal with. In most fire departments a grass
fire is considered noise, and given a low priority when there are other
"more important" things to take care of. This "noise", if not interpreted
correctly, can become into a big, real big situation. Many lives, houses
and other properties may be lost in cases of unattended "noise"! I
personally try to pay attention to the "noise" because it might just
contain the piece of information we need to succeed, or to avoid a larger
problem, or whatever other benefit that we cannot anticipate or predict
until we actually deal with it!
