I absolutely agree that replacing the term intervention is important.
Your point about creating an environment in which the people involved in
the situation where some "intervention" is called for, are on equal
footing is key. The consultants at Co-Development International engage in
just that--- co-developing solutions and breakthroughs. (I guess I'll
have to read your book on Interactive Management to know if our practices
are similar, but based on your description, I suspect they are.)

I love your notion of the intervenor not being in a "self-sealing mode."
I will strive for this.
