Hi!

My name is Chris Lombardo and I work at the Federal Aviation
Administration's (FAA) Center for Management Development. I am an
employee of a contracting organization that provides faculty at the
center - so I am not an actuall government employee.

About three years ago I became interested in the premise and promise
of the learning organization - and have since read everything:
Sterman, Fritz, Checkland, Senge, and Argyris, that I could get my
hands on. For the past year I have designed and conducted a course
which exposes the concepts of the learning org to managers and
supervisors within the FAA. Specifically, we focus on mental models,
systems thinking and team learning. Toward that end, we employ the
beer game, People Express microworld, and the Water of Ayole as
simulations and case studies to get the point across.

My challenge is to provide the tools and techniques that results
oriented, practicle, line managers want (mabey don't need?). The
course is currently high on theory and weak on practice. By practice
I mean "tools to put in my toolkit".

I look forward to contributing, and being contributed to.

Thanks
