Responding to Elliot Harkavy in LO2205....

I like your suggestions Elliot, although I have a slightly different
viewpoint. Taking an interSubjective position for me, means that everyone
is a participant, and that participation in itself is the only basis upon
which reality emerges. Hence, a Heisenberg position is built into this
perspective. Trying to define it from the "outside" as it were,
contradicts it and attempts to impose upon its fundamental participatory
nature.

In recent years, I have been personally impressed with the efficacy of
systems work when this viewpoint is adopted. Hence, I suppose I am really
proposing that Learning Organizations take an ethical stance which
respects the individual and essentially equivalent participation of
everyone, while leaving an open space for the emergence of growth, change,
and alignment to occur.

Cheers, Doug Seeley
