Recently, Martha G. White wrote <the spiritually mature...operates from a
center of intention which is in alignment with his or her core purpose in
life which is founded upon wisdom, compassion, understanding, creativity
and relationship, a capacity for courage, strength, endurance and
patience, and an ability and willingness to take the long view. >
Makes sense to me, and I would propose we add "sharing - the intention to
share with others" to that list which resides at the core of the
spiritually mature. Last night I attended a workshop called "Kabbalistic
Business Priciples" - no I'm not jewish, and this session was not about
religion. Rather, we discussed how the following seven concept "borrowed"
from the Kabbalah (which is a book used to interpret the Old Testiment -
if I understood the introduction), could or should be applied in business:
1) Choose good; (Now that was an interesting conversation - what is
"good"? As mentioned by Martha <Selfless behavior can manifest from many
different internal intentions> intention has a heck of a lot to do with
whether the action is "good" or "evil or bad" i.e. to kill, can it be a
good act, humane etc?).
2) Money is one of the greatest sources of energy in the world - so be
conscious of how it is used in one's organization.
3) Stop! It could make you money.
4) The more you share, the more you receive.
5) Sharing is the ultimate competitve advantage.
6) When in doubt, share.
7) Perfect practice, makes perfect.
Martha said that <Currently, humanity is again faced with another enormous
evolutionary shift.> I believe that if we do not have sharing on our list
of core traits for greater maturity, we could be missing an opportunity
this "evolutionary shift". If you'd like to find out more about
