Syncrude Canada Ltd. produces a light sweet synthetic crude oil from
oilsands in northeastern Alberta. We are currently designing a new open pit
mine truck, shovel, hydrotransport system 50 km. from our base plant. The
organization design will be based on self-managing teams with each team
having the minimum number of people that can do the maximum number of tasks.
We would like to talk with organizations that have similiar operations
(remote single train), in order to learn innovative ways to organize the
work. Any suggestions?
