Briefly, because the reference i wish to refer you too is not with me at
the moment (it's at my home): Ken Wilber's latest volume: SEX, Ecology and
Spirituality treats this subject very well. He may even reference Peirce,
certainly others. I will get the exact reference and respond in more depth
for it pertinant to many of the threads here,not just this one. I do
recommend Wilber's book ( indeed, his many books) for their clarity, not
necessarily their brevity. Wilber's elaboration of a "systems" theory in
this most recent book may prove valuable for some of the discussions on
this list.
