Replying to LO793

Dear Charlie, I was using a slightly provocative language, not with the
intention of antagonizing you or diminishing your effort, but to bring
more attention to an under-represented perspective on learning
organizations, that it cannot be "implemented," but it can be grown and
nourished as you do with a garden, removing the blocks that impede the
learning/growing of the plants.

When we learn how to stamp out hypocrisy, fear, manipulation, and the
structures that support them, from the life of our organizations, then we
will have learned how to implement learning organizations. My experience
is that no amount of discourse on LO will make any real change unless the
heart and imagination of the people are engaged in the process.

That's good news! If they really would invest some money and time in one
day's worth of inspiration, then I have a pretty good design for a day
long Learning Fair, or Learning Carnival, that can jump start the
self-organizing learning process. Call me or e-mail me, if you are
interested.
