George Por writes in response to my inquiry about defining
what a learning organization is for an organization before
it is implemented - "Defining it for an organization is
a prelude to killing it"
I have a couple questions about this response:
1. What do you tell management and others who have to
invest time and money in learning organizations?
George Por advises: "THEN we just have to let it shine
and inspire the formation of learning teams . . ."
Based on my experience, my assumption is that most
of my clients would invest some money and time in
one day's worth of inspiration - but would hestitate
to kick off an effort based on this.
2. Why would defining a learning org kill an
implementation? Has anyone had this experience?
