What I remember about it is a bell curve with the X-axis showing degree of
resistance to change, and the y-axis showing relative number of people.
On the left tail of the curve are the Pioneers, people who like to get out
ahead of things and be where the change is happening. Later on come the
Settlers, who are willing to take risks but need to know that the
territory is safe. There are more of them than there are Pioneers. Then
there are several more groups who are more and more resistant to change,
until we come to the Tories. These folks are out on the right-hand tail
of the curve and are wedded to the ancien regime.
Can someone tell me where I can get a more detailed analysis of this
model?
