Intro -- Michael Van Strien

Howdy,
I just joined this list early this morning and look forward to
learning and sharing.
I am currently and have been for seventeen years a speech instructor
at the community college level in Illinois(Richland Community College) and
South Carolina(Tri-County Tech.). Further and more topically, I am a
doctoral student in Adult Education at the University of Georgia, Athens
with a focus in Human Resource Development. My current research is
centering around the use of empathy in the training environment. However,
I have grown very interested in the learning organization. This makes
particular sense given that Karen Watkins(_Sculpting the Learning
Organization_ with V. Marsick) is the chair for my studies.
It will be most interesting in creating dialogue with this list and
the members therein, I look forward to learning and growing during our
relationship.
