Ivan, I think you miss the point of Charles Barcley's thrust about what
one sees. We only see what the brain filters. This is the essence of the
metaphor and paradigm dicussion. People have the capacity to see the whole
picture, but in fact only process in their brains a tiny fraction of the
information presented. Hence, many opportunities for "learning" are lost
through the filters of paradigms, metaphors, parables, bias, bigotry,...
