Kate,
I, too, have been interested in how new technology gets introduced. I've
felt the people and organizational issues have always been more difficult to
address than the technology issues. I still can get excited about the
potential for new technologies and want everyone to be excited too.
About all I know for sure, is that the technology must have a benefit to
users. Maybe that is the excitement of something new. In an organizational
setting, management wants it to be because people can do more in less time,
for less money----but unless it also provides some benefit to individuals,
they will find ways to not use it, or even sabotage it.
