So Ted Williams' son wants to freeze his body. Or is it just his head? The news accounts differ on this. And he wants to sell the DNA of the greatest hitter who ever lived. Is batting average genetically determined? Presumably John Henry Williams, the son in question, has some of that there greatest hitter DNA yet he is not exactly major league material... uhh make that not exactly rookie league material. Besides that, this cryonic idea is not going over well with his sister, who wants their father cremated. The freezer or the furnace? Fire or ice? Didn't Robert Frost write about this very situation?

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

-- Robert Frost, Fire and Ice, from Miscellaneous Poems to 1920

Personally, I hold with those who favor fire.
