Jake is a cutie! Maxine is a star she posed with her most adoptable look for the camera. Can't you just hear her purring "I am soooo verrrry adoptable!" She loves people. Noni wouldn't let me take her picture. She hissed at me and hunkered down in her litter box so only her ears were visible above the edge of the box. We tried luring her out with toys but she was having none of it. My pal Ringo with his round head, round eyes, and unusual markings is going to his new home today. Yay! I petted him extra special and wished him well in his new life. Hopefully he won't get returned the next day like he did last time. He's such a great cat. Smokey the gorgeous elder gray cat has gone to a foster home that is supposedly going to lead to adoption. That would be excellent for him. And Whitey, the huge white guy, is on hold too. He's supposed to be picked up some time this weekend.
Where was I besides on I-93? Oh yeah, Trident, where me met 8 years ago. A good time was had by all. The jewel-like beets are back to our great joy. We were so happy about the beets that when we got back to my house I read aloud to Nancy the history of beet cultivation from The Origins of Fruit and Vegetables. We're weird that way. |
