Three Ways of Looking at a Pumpkin Field

Fall is in the air. The sky is that blue that people move here from other parts of the country for. New England sparkles at this time of year. Yup. A gorgeous day.

There are still a bunch of kittens in the office, this being a three litter prolonged kitten season and all. The only new adults are Ringo and Star. I think I photographed Star last week. Anyway, the only newbie I did today was Ringo. Check out that round face!

I ran into the Salisbury brother and his partner at Angelina's. Gee, if I were as good at making up cute names for people as Jessie I could call them the Beach Boys. Anyway, despite the fact that I eat a fair number of my meals at Angelina's and so do they, this is the first time we've run into each other there. Maybe Salisbury is a slightly bigger world than we thought. Anyway, they were just coming from returning the original of the cover painting for the beach grass brochure to the artist now that the brochure is done.

They greeted me as "hey, famous author", which is pretty funny considering I just got that ridiculous royalty statement in which I owe a $1.22. I assumed they were referring to the beach grass brochure, which they sort of were. Apparently the artist's husband had just said to them "Hey, I didn't know your sister is the real deal." The real deal? Apparently he was referring not just to the beach grass brochure but to the Great American Driver Manual. Now that is funny. I don't think reading the UNIX kernel was necessary in order to convince Salisbury Beach residents to plant beach grass. But I guess it helps.

Go Diamondbacks!
