Major traffic last night on the way home. The police blocked off the entrance ramps to 495, which was not moving at all (I heard later it didn't move for three hours because of a terrible accident). I wound my way through the wilds of Westford up to the northern reaches of Chelmsford (or is that North Chelmsford?) and Nashua to find a way to get home. It is quite possible that the neo-Luddites are right.

Meanwhile, I'm very frustrated with my writing. It takes me a very long time to get my ideas onto a screen anymore and even then I type badly and leave out punctuation, not to mention the ideas are not well-formed. I can't seem to write an entry on a single theme lately either. For example, the weekend's entry should have been about either the "welcoming congregation" debate or the trouble I have with western philosophy, not both with ospreys, Tibetans, and evening primroses thrown in. Not that all of those things aren't interesting, but all in one entry?

In another completely unrelated incomplete thought, I forgot to mention that the final environmental impact statement on the Providence Harbor dredging project arrived. Man, that's a big box o' documents. I immediately checked to make absolutely sure my comments had been incorporated, and there they were: greater and lesser scaup, canvasbacks, snowy egrets and all. And there is a clear statement that the Corps is not going to mess with one feather of one duck in Watchemoket Cove. Yay, me.
