Today's Reading: absolutely nothing

2001 Book List

Browse the Hungarian conifer book.

I finally finished HTML-izing the scanned in page proofs from the Hungarian color conifer book, henceforth known as Conifers Round the World in English. I saw the book coming off the press when I was in Budapest. It's currently at the bindery, so still not available for sale/purchase. Zsolt showed me a prelminary bound copy last Friday when I was setting up his new Compaq Presario. It looks really cool. The book, not the Presario.

Tour the herbarium in Budakeszi.

This picture of the outside of the building was taken in August 1999 when we were moving in. The tour pictures were taken in February 2001 on my most recent visit. Today I only got as far as creating a gallery of the tour photos in alphabetical order. The final tour will have explanatory text and a rough floor plan to organize the pictures relative to each other. Meanwhile, the pictures give kind of an idea what the place looks like late on a February afternoon.

View the Shawsheen River up close and personal - after it already crested.

So, like, I like, believed the weather dudes that the Shawsheen would only overflow in Wilmington. This hotel parking lot is at the intersection of Rt 114 and I495 in North Andover. The Shawsheen is not normally in its parking lot.
