Sometime yesterday afternoon I started to feel achy and feverish. Today I felt so tired I stayed in bed until after 11:00 AM and did not go out of the house until it was time to go to my Thursday night meeting. By then I actually felt a little better. Well enough to attend the meeting and then spend about 15 minutes or so in a used book store in Central Square. I scored a thin volume of commentaries on Thoreau for my ongoing autodidact multimedia interdisciplinary course in Thoreau and a book on gulls that actually talks about behavior and interaction with human society instead of simply how to distinguish the umpteen varieties of seasonal plumage. The time at home in the afternoon was well spent. I finally put together installment 9 of the China trip journal - the entry that deals with the Potala. I also selected, edited, and inserted in the appropriate spots the photos for the rest of the entries and scanned in the rest of the souvenir ticket stubs to go with those entries. And besides all that I read the last two novels in the fat 5 Novels Daniel Pinkwater collection. Considering how lousy I felt, I've actually had a pretty productive day. |
