All I have to show for productivity today is one more China trip entry: take me home country road. It's about my first day in Lhasa, during which all I did was get there, feel the altitude, and rest. But I describe it entertainingly. And I've got a couple of good pictures. OK, so I did other things like create this nice picture of a sundappled stream on Eagle Mountain (New Hampshire, not Tibet) and go to the bank and buy yet more groceries in preparation for the storm the weathermen are salivating over but looks to me like it's going to be nothing and read pages upon pages of The Story of the Stone or The Dream of the Red Chamber, whichever you want to call it, and drink coffee with George while discussing what makes good technical writing, and listen to Dan and Geri rant about the election and how Peter Jennings' mispronunciation of electoral seems to have spread to all the network reporters and anchors except Tom Brokaw...

Do these count as thoughts and ideas?
