It's raining buckets. Or is that handbaskets? Nope, it's raining starlings, about a thousand of them going every which way back and forth and up and down all over the parking lot. Some of them come within inches of the window, getting Wilbur all excited. I have vowed to stay in today and try to make some progress on this journal, the China trip journal, and the China pictures. Now that I have the camera back I finally copy the unreadable files off China disk 9 one at a time using the camera's copy feature (diskcopy copies the corruption so I have to do it one at a time). Remarkably, I salvage them all this way. I work long and hard on the next installment of the China trip journal (change faces, spit fire), including cutting some pictures out of a poster (which I only kept for the change faces spit fire pictures) and scanning them in. When that entry is finished I work on the pictures for some of the later entries and then waste some time making an artsy thing out of one of my pictures of Drepung Monastery. See above. For dinner I eat leftover sweet potatoes and vegetarian stuffing (which doesn't taste at all like wet croutons). I still have not dyed my hair green. |
