The gray sky feels like it has infiltrated my head. It's not supposed to be this dark in July. It is still July, isn't it? Heard something on the radio this morning, while I was half asleep, about 300 dead birds found near where that first dead crow was in Jamaica Plain. Were they all crows? And what's up with spraying the mosquitoes with stuff that kills the three-spined stickleback? Especially since the crow (or the 300 other dead birds who may or may not have died from West Nile virus) may have been infected far away from Jamaica Plain. Crows can travel up to 200 miles in a day. So far I haven't heard of any of the mosquitoes that have been trapped testing positive for West Nile virus. Meatier entry sometime when the gray lets up. |
