I woke up at 10:14 AM. The walking buddies departed on their walk at 10:00 AM. Oops. They'll hate me again despite my having bought the latest Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie Brown mystery in hardcover for their reading pleasure.

Still have not found wasp poison safe to spray anywhere near my kitchen. Why couldn't the damn wasps have nested under the eaves or someplace where a) I don't have to walk perilously close to them a dozen times a day, and b) I can poison them without poisoning myself and Wilbur?

Gray weather is making the inside of my head gray.

Nancy and I went out for dinner at Cafe L'Amir, the latest restaurant to move into where Cafe la France used to be. It's a falafel joint now. Pretty good too.

The Red Sox lost.

We stayed in, listened to music, and read poetry aloud. Besides Nancy's library of jazz LPs we listened to The Eyesores' latest CD. The Eyesores are a local Providence band formed from former Ameobic Ensemble members. They are fantastic! We are too old to be in their audience demographic, but we like them. Oh to be young and hip again. Oh wait, I wasn't hip when I was young. Oh well.
