Part II: Nass' and Reeves' Media Equation Studies


R&N took social science findings about person to person interactions...

...and proved that the same effects occurred when people relate to a computer or a TV.

This research is fascinating but tricky to apply (as Microsoft and others have discovered).



I'm ashamed that I keep recommending these dead tree books. The key resource for this second part is The Media Equation by Byron Reeves and Cliff Nash.
