This new high school houses 850 students with expansion capabilities for 1200. The two-story classroom building is designed to allow future expansion of both classroom and core facilities on an extremely tight site between a cranberry bog and a tidal estuary.
The school is organized along an interior street with specialized and shared facilities on the lower level and classrooms on the upper floor. A clear separation of facilities allows for community use without compromising the academic areas.
The Boston Globe has referred to this school as "the most technologically advanced public school facility in Massachusetts". It was featured in the 1992 publication, School Design Notebook prepared by The New Jersey Instiute of Technology.
Associated athletic facilities include a gymnasium and basketball court with seating for 1000.
