13-July-99 Lui Collins concert

. .
.
Another Tuesday and another concert at the Jackson Homestead. Tonight the performers were Lui Collins and Dana Robinson. Lui is a small woman with a beautiful voice who writes good melodies with wonderful lyrics and choruses you can pick up and sing along with. I think the song I liked best tonight was half in Portugese, with a definite Brazilian beat. They switched among guitar duets, guitar and fiddle, guitar and mandolin, and banjo and mandolin, with lots of banjo jokes (ex: What's the difference between an onion and a banjo? People cry when you chop up an onion) while they were tuning.

The roll of film I got developed yesterday turned out to have some pictures from back in May on it. I've put up a photo of my mom on the May 23 entry and one of Anne on the May 29 entry.
