That’s St. Basil’s Cathedral just left of center, one of the towers of the Kremlin on the right, and the Hotel Rossiya on the far left.Red Square is immense, but not as immense as I had really expected. It’s maybe the size of four football fields, but not anything like half a mile long. Pavement is lumpy cobblestones. Roads run into it and around it, but you can pretty well walk across it without worrying about traffic. Oh yes -- in Russian you call it Krasnoye Ploschad.
