Registries

The greatest gift we could receive is your presence at our wedding. However, a lot of people seem to be anxious to know what things we might want, so we've opened gift registries at the following fine commercial establishments:

These registries are, in some sense, still a work in progress. We are continuing to add items as we think of things. (Also, don't feel bound by the registries; we would be equally thrilled with personally chosen or handmade gifts. Especially art glass.)

If you're like me and like to think about things like shopping around, read on. Many of the items on the Macy's list in particular are intermittently on sale, for up to 50% off the list price. If you happen to be looking at a time when they aren't, and don't want to wait, we've double-registered for many dinnerware items at Amazon.com, where they tend to be consistently on sale and you can also get free shipping; we'll keep an eye on the two registries and adjust the "still needs" quantities by hand to keep them synchronized. Also, remember that Bed Bath & Beyond constantly mails out 20%-off coupons! Okay, sweetheart, that's enough.

Shipping

Note that all registries are currently set to ship items to Justin's parents' home in Annandale, VA, for reasons of (a) storage space and (b) more secure delivery than our porchless first-floor apartment. Please rest assured that we WILL receive them in the not-too-distant future!

Two can openers?

You may notice that we've registered for multiples of certain items, sometimes in different colors. That's because we keep a kosher home, requiring (for the most part) two completely separate sets of utensils, one for meat and one for dairy. (Color coding is one way to help keep the system organized.) In case you're curious, the Twist Alea will be the dairy set, and Arctic White/Arctic Night the meat set.

And the cordless drill?

Totally serious. What? We'll own a house someday... and in the meantime, there are theater sets to be built.
