It wasn't just the fact that they delayed things until 12/12 and then 
insisted on the 12/12 deadline that infuriated me, it was that their 
alleged logic for that insistence made absolutely no sense.

If Bush tries to appoint a Supreme Court justice who's anywhere right 
of Bill Douglas, then 50 Democratic senators had better keep talking 
until 2005 January 20, if that's what it takes to block the 
appointment!
